Pleasant Valley Christian Academy

We moved to Vernon at the end of summer in 2013, and the kindergartens at all the public schools near us were all full with waiting lists. I didn't want my 5-yr-old's first school experience to be on a bus, which looked like our only option until I drove past PVCA and saw the banner advertising kindergarten spots available. We don't attend the Adventist congregation, so we were cautious about enrolling our son, but the teachers & principal were warm & welcoming, and put our concerns to rest when they explained that families from all faith backgrounds send their children to Adventist schools all over the world (it's the 2nd-largest Christian school system in the world, after the Roman Catholic schools). Our shy & nervous little boy absolutely blossomed into a happy little reader by the end of kindergarten, and we're so happy with the family atmosphere at PVCA that we're removing our 8-yr-old from the public system and sending both boys to PVCA!
